Why come to Adoration? This isn’t a devotion for the pious to revere a sacred thing, but this is an invitation for all who hunger to be in the presence of the living presence of Jesus Christ! We can encounter him spiritually anywhere, but there are only two places right now where we can encounter Jesus in his risen & glorified humanity – at the right hand of the Father in Heaven, and in His real presence hidden in the Eucharist. Come spend time heart to heart with Him! Prayer materials are available, but you can simply sit and talk to him from your heart or listen in silence.
"This is the wonderful truth, my dear friends: the Word, which became flesh two thousand years ago, is present today in the Eucharist." - St. Pope John Paul II
Thank You, NCYC Supporters!
Last year, several of our high school youth had the opportunity to attend the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC), a powerful pilgrimage of faith, worship, and community. We are deeply grateful to our parish family and all who generously supported them through prayers, donations, and encouragement.
To say thank you, the NCYC youth invite the parish to a light luncheon following the 11:00 AM Mass on Sunday, January 18. Please join us as we celebrate the impact of this pilgrimage and the generosity that made it possible!
"Through the intercession of Saint Blaise, bishop and martyr, may God deliver us from every disease of the throat and from all other harm besides. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen."

You need to try ALPHA!
ALPHA is a short 2 hour evening held every Tuesday for 10 weeks in our parish hall. We meet in an open non-classroom setting where we share a meal (which we provide), watch a short video and then have an open friendly discussion about that video. There is no take home reading, preparation, or classroom lecture. We meet, make new friends, and talk about Christianity. This ALPHA conversation has been held in over 5000 parishes with more than 200,000 participants. I invite you to try it out. Registration forms are on tables on your way out or you can register online. We start October 7th. Please come!
We will meet in the Fireplace Room. We'll enjoy some tasty snacks and pray the day's Evening Prayer together. There will be wine to enjoy, but you are free to bring your own wine or beverage. After prayer, we will share some reflection and fellowship. It's a wonderful way to end the day and meet new people, too!
Contact Deacon Greg if you have any questions: 515.650-2738.

A beautiful collection of hand carved olive wood
religious articles from the Holy Land, will be for sale in the Gathering Area November 8/9. They are very beautiful, and they make excellent gifts for first communion, mother’s day, father’s day, Christmas, and raffle donations. The profit goes to support the 27 Catholic Families who made these articles in Bethlehem and Jerusalem. I encourage you to stop by and support our suffering Catholic Families in the Holy Land.
