St. Vincent De Paul

St. Vincent de Paul Conference is part of the Des Moines Council of conferences.  They meet monthly to administer a program designed to help the poor with donations of food, money, clothing and furniture. All donations are greatly appreciated and always needed.  The conference members make home visits to determine assistance needs, participate in area twinnings to help others in need meet their financial demands and collect donated items to provide opportunities at an affordable price at the area St. Vincent de Paul thrift shops.  They annually provide food baskets to families each November.  Each monthly meeting includes spiritual reflection as well as review of pending concerns.  New members are always welcome and encouraged.
